Ingredients
- 300 g. / 10.5 oz. of pardina lentils
- 1.3 l. / 44 fl. oz. water
- 2 smoked sausages
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 chopped onion
- 4 carrots cut into rounds
- 1 tablespoon of sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 2 meat stock cubes
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our stewed lentils, for this, in a pan with a little olive oil and over medium heat, add the onion, garlic and let cook for a couple of minutes, then add the carrots and let cook for 1 minute, then add the lentils, paprika, cumin powder and cook for 1 minute.
Step 2: Add the water and as soon as it starts to boil, add the stock cubes, a little salt, the whole sausages, the bay leaf, stir, cover and cook over low heat for 50 minutes, after the cooking time, remove the sausages, cut them into rounds and put them back into the pot, then serve and enjoy these delicious stewed lentils.
Tips To Prepare It
For this stewed lentils recipe, use pardina lentils, as they are more tender and we will avoid having to soak them.
Use a very good quality chorizo, it will be noticeable in the final result.
