Ingredients
- 4 pieces of chicken (can be thighs, hams or whatever you prefer)
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 carrot cut into small squares
- 1 celery stalk, chopped
- 1 sprig of thyme
- 250 ml. / 8.45 fl. oz. red wine
- 200 ml. / 8.45 fl. oz. of crushed natural tomatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
How To Make It
Step 1: We begin the preparation of our chicken alla cacciatora, for this, we salt and pepper our chicken pieces, then, in a pan with a little olive oil and medium heat, we will seal them, with this we will get that the juices are kept inside, when you see that they are already sealed or golden brown on the outside, we remove them from the pan and reserve.
Step 2: In the same pan add the onion, celery, carrot, thyme branch, a little salt, stir and let cook for 8 minutes, then add the chicken pieces, add the red wine and let evaporate all its alcohol (2 minutes approximately), add the crushed tomato, stir and when it starts to boil, lower the heat, cover and let cook for 25 minutes.
Step 3: Once the cooking time is over, turn off the heat, add salt if necessary and our delicious chicken alla cacciatora is ready.
Tips To Prepare It
When searing the chicken, only the outside of the chicken should be browned and it is removed from the fire, it will finish cooking later.
